The methods of deburring, cleaning, polishing, and other treatments for silver contact assemblies generally include the following two situations:
Contacts: pure silver, silver cadmium, silver cadmium oxide, silver nickel magnesium alloy contacts;
Contact bridge: Copper and copper alloy contact bridge.
1) Deburring and cleaning:
1. Using trichloroethylene to degrease parts in a steam degreaser;
2. To remove burrs in a vibration polishing machine, the following proportions should be added: parts, S-type ALMCO super shiny abrasive (black plastic block), 1 ounce Oakite (# FM184)/gallon aqueous solution;
3. Add 2 ounces of Oakite (# 30)/gallon aqueous solution to the vibration polishing machine for neutralization;
4. Continuously rinse with water flow in a vibration polishing machine;
5. Remove and dry.
2) Bright treatment:
1. Place only the parts in the vibration polishing machine and continuously rinse with 1 ounce Oakite (# FM184)/gallon water solution;
2. Add 2 ounces of Oakite (# 30)/gallon aqueous solution to the vibration polishing machine for neutralization;
3. Continuously rinse with water flow in a vibration polishing machine;
4. Remove and dry.
3) Polishing:
1. Polishing in a drum polishing machine: Add sufficient water to immerse all parts, and add 8 ounces of electrolytic polishing compound (# XS) for each polishing;
2. Rinse with water in a drum polishing machine;
3. Remove and dry;
4. Pack and store in suitable plastic bags& Nbsp;
4) Cleaning:
1. The contact must not be contaminated or dull visually;
2. When tested according to the material laboratory test method No.30-7a, there should be no large SiO2 particles (with a diameter exceeding 1.3mm) on the contacts that can cause SiF4 bubbles
3. When tested according to the material laboratory testing method No.30-7a, the organic pollutants per square centimeter shall not exceed 50 micrograms.
